El Archivo Fotográfico Carlos Mugica incluye fotografías e imágenes digitalizadas de volantes, afiches, carteles, panfletos, recortes de diarios, etc. pertenecientes a la Colección Meisegeier – Archivo Mugica. Es una colección de referencia en relación con el Movimiento de Sacerdotes para el Tercer Mundo (MSTM). Carlos Francisco Sergio Mugica Echagüe fue un sacerdote argentino fundador del MSTM y destacado impulsor del movimiento de curas villeros a partir de las luchas populares de las décadas del sesenta y setenta. José M. "Pichi" Meisegeier sj fue un sacerdote jesuita que a lo largo de 25 años ha cumplido el rol de “referente obligado” o “histórico” en relación con el MSTM (Movimiento de Sacerdotes del Tercer Mundo), como también a sacerdotes de Villas Miseria. El padre Meisegeier trabajó en la Villa 31, de la zona de Retiro, cumpliendo el rol de "testigo privilegiado" además de ser el sucesor del padre Carlos Mugica cuando fue asesinado en 1974, pasando a ocupar su lugar en la Villa Miseria del puerto de Buenos Aires. Lo recopilado y vivido por el padre Meisegeier, en especial en los años de la última dictadura (1976-1983), así como su actividad acumulada posteriormente en el campo de la problemática de las villas miseria y asentamientos urbanos; además de su vinculación con grupos de derechos humanos, temas afines, y su promoción, inciden en reforzar su imagen de referente para los interesados en estos temas. La colección lleva el nombre de “Colección Meisegeier”, en referencia al padre <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Mar%C3%ADa_Meisegeier">José “Pichi” Meisegeier</a> (1936-2011), amigo de <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Mugica">Carlos Mugica</a> (1930-1974), recopilador y protagonista de la historia en primera persona. El Archivo Fotográfico Carlos Mugica incluye fotografías e imágenes digitalizadas de volantes, afiches, carteles, panfletos, recortes de diarios, etc. pertenecientes a la Colección Meisegeier – Archivo Mugica. Es una colección de referencia en relación con el Movimiento de Sacerdotes para el Tercer Mundo (MSTM). Carlos Francisco Sergio Mugica Echagüe fue un sacerdote argentino fundador del MSTM y destacado impulsor del movimiento de curas villeros a partir de las luchas populares de las décadas del sesenta y setenta. José M. "Pichi" Meisegeier sj fue un sacerdote jesuita que a lo largo de 25 años ha cumplido el rol de “referente obligado” o “histórico” en relación con el MSTM (Movimiento de Sacerdotes del Tercer Mundo), como también a sacerdotes de Villas Miseria. El padre Meisegeier trabajó en la Villa 31, de la zona de Retiro, cumpliendo el rol de "testigo privilegiado" además de ser el sucesor del padre Carlos Mugica cuando fue asesinado en 1974, pasando a ocupar su lugar en la Villa Miseria del puerto de Buenos Aires. Lo recopilado y vivido por el padre Meisegeier, en especial en los años de la última dictadura (1976-1983), así como su actividad acumulada posteriormente en el campo de la problemática de las villas miseria y asentamientos urbanos; además de su vinculación con grupos de derechos humanos, temas afines, y su promoción, inciden en reforzar su imagen de referente para los interesados en estos temas.
